Who Was Prophet Muhammad ﷺ? A Brief Guide for New Muslims
Narrated by Aisha (RA):
"The Prophet ﷺ returned to Khadija while his heart was beating rapidly. She took him to Waraqa bin Naufal, who was a Christian convert and used to read the Gospels in Arabic.
Waraqa asked (the Prophet), 'What do you see?'
When he told him, Waraqa said, 'That is the same angel whom Allah sent to the Prophet Moses. Should I live till you receive the Divine Message, I will support you strongly.'"
(Sahih Bukhari, Book: Prophets, Hadith No. 3213)

The Prophet ﷺ encouraged generosity and personally helped the poor, often saying, "The best of people are those who bring the most benefit to others" (Tabarani).
Known for his gentleness, he treated family and friends with immense respect, declaring, "The best of you are those who are best to their families" (Sunan Ibn Majah).
The Prophet ﷺ practiced self-restraint, advising, "The strong person is not the one who can wrestle, but the one who can control himself when angry" (Sahih Bukhari).
Though he was the leader of the community, he lived simply and served others, famously stating, "I am but a servant; I eat as a servant eats and sit as a servant sits" (Abu Dawood).
